After ten years of relishing in our ability to make spontaneous dinner plans, spend quiet evenings reading books, and making snap judgments about the parenting skills of others, we’re about to turn our comfortable, organized world upside down.Following much prayer, discussion, research, tums, questions, more prayer and even more tums, we’ve begun the long journey of adopting two, young siblings from the gorgeous country of Ethiopia. At this point in the journey, our dossier is in-country and we are waiting patiently, well… somewhat patiently, for a referral. Maybe today. Maybe next week. Maybe next month. Maybe by Summer. Maybe today…
In the mean time, we’re doing what we can to prepare our home, reading every piece of advice we can find, linking up with others on this courageous path, and checking voicemail every five minutes. If you’re so inclined, take a few moments to walk beside us as we journey down this scary, exciting, overwhelming, and hope-filled path toward growing our family. We’re honored that you’ve come along.
